Training EventsCDEA continues to be A Voice for Quality in Christian Settings through its many training events and programs. It all began in 1995 with the first National CDEA Conference. In 1996 we began offering the Christian Ministry Classes as a supplement to the 120 hours of credential training for the National CDA. This unique combination of credential training allowed students to earn an entry-level credential (Christian Child Development Education Credential, CCDE) that included best practice and a Christian perspective. Since that time CDEA has expanded its training events to include Seminars, Director Symposiums, WEE Learn Curriculum Training, Conferences, Mini- Conferences, and now includes excellent online training for the 120 hours of entry-level credentials. CDEA has also expanded our online training to include the Christian Ministry Modules for our Christian Credential and Values Education Modules for our Values-based Credential which focus on character development. In 2001 CDEA became the first to offer IACET CEUs to every conference attendee at no additional cost. Since then all CDEA training has been designed with IACET CEUs. It is the goal of CDEA to continue offering high quality training at affordable prices for its members and others to the benefit of teachers, children and families throughout our Nation.
